How to Join

As a prospective member, we will welcome you to attend up to three meetings at the Blue Club on a Thursday night as a guest. You can just drop in around 7:15pm. Alternatively, please fill in the request below to receive full information of meetings, including Zoom link, by email.

We can all get to know each other and you can decide if our society is perfect for you. We are very informal and will give you warm welcome.

Currently our members come from the Oldham MBC area and from other nearby towns.

Cost of membership

The annual subscription (membership fee) is £30 (junior members pay half, please note: this is still a ‘full’ membership) from the end of September for 12 months.

New members joining part way through the season pay a reduced “pro rata” subscription until the end of the current season, then a full subscription becomes due after the next AGM (end of September).

Weekly fee: Members (and prospective members) pay £2 (juniors £1) per meeting attended (at the door or via PayPal) in addition to the annual membership fee. This weekly amount goes towards paying the zoom expenses, room rental, refreshments and expenses for lecturers and judges.

Meeting Times

Meetings are held on most Thursdays throughout the year. See the “what’s on page” for details of meetings.

All meetings are at 7:15pm for a 7:30pm start unless otherwise stated.
